Rose is a licensed clinical social worker with ten years of experience providing trauma-informed assessment and therapy. Among her many work experiences, she was employed as a fully-grant-funded clinician at CORA (San Mateo) providing psychotherapy to children who have witnessed domestic violence or endured other types of child abuse in conjunction with relationship abuse, and at Rape Trauma Services (Burlingame) to children and adults directly or indirectly affected by trauma from sexual assault or sexual abuse. Prior to joining this practice, Rose worked as an Inpatient Psychiatric Social Worker at Mills Peninsula Inpatient Behavioral Health (San Mateo), assessing and treating adults and adolescents undergoing acute suicidal, manic, and psychotic episodes.
Rose earned her BA in English Literature from Vassar College, studied psychology at Columbia University, attended Yeshiva University’s clinical psychology research PhD program, and completed her MSW in Clinical Social Work from NYU. She is a Registered Alternative Track Drama Therapy Trainee, and has extensive training in gestalt, Sandplay, psychodynamic, and Jungian oriented psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, self psychology, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Psychodrama, Healing Shame, neuropsychological and personality testing, and Basic EMDR. Rose has a visual neuroscience research background with a focus on social emotional processing in neurodivergent populations, and has co-authored a book chapter on scientific evidence and theories relating forgiveness to better health.
